GIJoe Action Figures for sale

Quarrel

Many belive that Quarrel is the UK Scarlett, let's get one thing straight: Quarrel is not Scarlett. The UK had their own Scarlett when in 1985 the Action Force range (which started in 1982 and were made by Palitoy) realigned with a new unified team called simply 'Action Force' and a new enemy 'Cobra' instead of the 'red shadows'. The new figures were all of American origin, including 'Scarlett' (She wasn't called Quarrel, it was Scarlett), although some UK vehicles did survive into this range. 'Cobra' was the enemy of the US GI Joe serie, and this marked the beginning of a convergence of the two series.

So Palitoy (A big UK toy company) is behind Quarrel and the toyline Action Force. Quarrel was part of the Action Force team, Z Force group (Ground combat). Quarrel was released in the UK in 1984, during the 2nd release of Action Force. Since second release of action force, the Action Force Team concept was introduced (which consisted of 4 groups: Z Force, SAS Force, Q Force and Space Force) and an enemy was introduced in the form of red shadows. Most of those figures used the same component from the original action force line, but others were licensed from the US Toy Company Hasbro where they were made as GIJoe. So Quarrel body mold\story was licensed from Hasbro based on Scarlett. Later on, in 1992, The same figure as Quarrel was offered in the USA at the Joe Collector con under the name Undercover Scarlett (later on, Palisades will offer an exclusive limited (250 worldwide) bust of Scarlett under this paint scheme and it will be called Undercover scarlett)

Athena

Estrela, a toy company from Brazil, was the first company to obtain the GIJoe molds and use them to create their own figures. Athena was one of them. Based on the Scarlett mold, this figure used only a slightly more white plastic instead of the tan version of the American Scarlett. There's an ESTRELA marking on the back of the figure.

Estrela did very well and exported their toys to other parts of South America and by the late 80s, they even used their production factories to create figures for release in the USA.
